... after thought ...
There was one scene in Two, reviewed below, where there was a build up of anger of this bullying man brutally controlled his wife. I was surprised that few in the audience could see where the scene was going. Inside I felt cold as I have seen this happen in real life.
The man kept probing his wife, while at the same time being friendly to others around him. He kept on challenging her until she could take no more and she ran out of the pub. She had to come back to get the key of the house. He then calmly apologised, but blamed her for his anger. Just when it seemed that the situation was resolved he violently hit her. This shocked most of the audience.
In a way they are lucky that they do not have seemed to have experienced similar situations. But I have seen this type of bully slowly manipulate and challenge a person until they are provoked to make a response that the bully can then use to justify using violence.
