Why - oh why - did they sack Angus Deayton?

Bruce Forsyth was entertaining and would have made a good guest - but because they were playing around with his role as game show host - it lost the point that Paul Merton is the very funny one - with Ian Hislop occiasionally getting in a good aside - and guests either getting roasted - or bringing in the odd joke.

Angus Deayton was good at knowing when - and when not to allow Paul Merton to have his rants or go into his surreal mode.

One or tow of the presenters like one of Armstrong and Miller and Martin Clunes were OK - but only for a week.

Its almost like the production company and the BBC want to destroy the programme.
