... good bye Charles ...

Prince Charles and friends - 5604 Bytes Dear Charles/ Prince Charles / Your Majesty / Charlie ( delete as appropriate)

I am afraid I have bad news. You should not become next king. If you do then you will be destroyed by the media. Not only you. but the whole royal institution will at the very least be severely damaged and could even fall.

You will have a much better life if you decide now to lower your profile, move to the country, live with, or marry Carmilla. There you can follow your countryside pursuits of killing or catching even fur, feather or scaled creature in the neighbourhood.

You see after the Paul Burrell affair you are now known as someone who among other things:

  • throws books at servants
  • takes in your own cutlery, crockery, furniture and paintings to go to hospital and even have your own food to be brought in.
  • and don't forget the sample bottle. They won't.

See with this and the split up with Diana, which was - let's face it handled very badly, and the incompetence, or maliciousness, of the people working for you -and again lets face the fact that they should have sorted out the rape allegation - and they could have sorted out the Paul Burrell matter very discreetly, without the matter coming to the attention of the press - and then there are the letters to ministers and Tony Blair - and ... so on and on.

You are going to be a target and you are always going to be a target. Accept the inevitable, accept that William should become king and then protect him. You will then become respected and supported by the press - it will be difficult for them to keep you in their sight and by stepping down in will make it easier to protect your successor.

You can still have an active role in public life. The Prince Charles Trust and some of your other interests should be followed. In a way you will be free to make comments about matters, such as the environment, and I think you will have a happier life.
