Why did the chicken walk along the pavement? Why did it walk around the crack in the pavement and walk cautiously to the traffic light crossing?

Why did it jump up and tried to peck the button to make the lights change? And did it not realise that as a chicken it could not reach?

Why did it not ask the humans walking by to press the button? …because it was a chicken and few people don’t talk ‘squark’.

Why did the chicken then cross the road when the lights changed? …because it wanted to get to the joke’s 102 word limit.

According to LaughLab, loads more jokes, explanations and ratings on the link, the joke above is perfect.

It fulfils all the main criteria of being the perfect joke:

- make us feel superior to others. - i.e. chickens
- reduce the emotional impact of anxiety-provoking situations - i.e. crossing roads
- surprise us because of some kind of incongruity - the punch line????

and it is exactly 102 words long

Do you have any 102 word jokes ????????????????
